Step is a short fiction film based exclusively on shots of the legs and feet of the protagonists - Mr. K and Mrs. W - who have an appointment in a park in city X. Mr. K gets off the train, reaches the exit, crosses the whole city by foot, and enters the part, where Mrs. W is waiting for him with a certain impatience. As soon as they recognize each other from a distance, they go towards each other.

"My choice as director was not dictated because I rejected certain shots or tried to turn 'rules' upside down. However, I just wanted to characterize some details and to look for paradoxical and humorous situations." (Gian Luca Serra)
