A HORA E A VEZ DE AUGUSTO MATRAGA

Augusto Matraga is a violent man from the sertão of Minas Gerais. He is deserted by his wife and lured into an ambush by his enemies. He is left for dead on the ground. He is saved and put on his feet again by a very poor couple, and then goes through a mystical transformation. When he runs into the gang of Joãzinho Bem Bem it is understandable that he does not manage to control his aggressive nature entirely. He makes his peace with the world only at his moment of death.
