During the carnival of Niteroi, all the men in the group, "The Lyre of Delirium" target Ness Elliot, who is looking for his independence from them. He works in a dance club in the Lapa district. One of his friends is trying to compromise her by getting her involved in drug traffic. Then the friend kidnaps Ness's child, Guri-Guri, and sells him over to a trafficker in children, but Ness manages to find him again.

"This film is disquieting, upsetting, and provocative. It has a solid sense of atmosphere and invention. It is a strip-tease of carioca misery set to the rhythm of a school of samba." (Paulo Perdigão)
