Country: Brazil
Year: 1971
Duration: 93'

A man is caught up in a series of situations that slip out of his control. He is the figure that connects actions that develop around some curious characters from a criminal gang composed of a blind, deaf, and dumb bandit, a narcissistic man, and their mother who eats without stopping. The film could probably be edited in different ways, too, with the order of the scenes inverted, without changing the logical continuity.

"The film seems to me to be visually splendid, a vulcano of creativity. The first sequence is an extraordinary travelling shot with the camera beginning low and then moving higher as it accompanies Paulo César Pereio through the central streets of Belo Horizonte. The beauty of the images is at the exact level of the magic drumming in Iron Butterfly's In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (1968) the visual splendor continues until the last sequence, which, in my opinion, is one of the three best crane shots in the history of cinema."
