Luca, who has just had his fourteenth birthday, is waiting for Marta, who is as old as him. It is a sunny Sunday afternoon in the first half of August, 1995, in Bologna. It is their first date and she is already late. Luca finds out that Marta went away with some guy probably to a movie. Luca has never been inside a movie theater, but starts on his piIgrimage his quest for Marta through the semideserted movie theaters of Bologna.
Alessandro Cappelletti (Bologna, 1965) has been a television director since 1979. He is in charge of the external news reports and live shooting for television stations broadcasting locally in Emilia Romagna. In 1983 he screenwrote and directed a short series of documentaries for RA13. Since 1983 his main activity has been in the field of commercials and industrial films. He has collaborated with advertising agencies and production houses in Bologna, Modena, and Milan, working as director, assistant director, and screenwriter and using both the electronic media and the celluloid. He has worked in numerous music videos, both as screenwriter and director, with artists such as Francesco Baccini, Paolo Conte, Ligabue, Paolo Belli, and the Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare.
