Uno nessuno centomila (viaggio nel mondo dei giovani dal dopoguerra a oggi attraverso il cinema italiano)

One, no one, one hundred thousand (a voyage through Italian film into the world of young people from the postwar period until now)

Country: Italy
Year: 1994
Duration: 35'

This is a video essay made by university liberalarts students who attended Professor Gian Piero Brunetta's course entitled "Cinema as a Source of History" as well as Dr. Mirco Melanco's course on the techniques of editing and of writing for the audiovisual media, both held in the 199495 academic year. The students chose this theme the perception of an Italy that has transformed itself in the last fifty years of its history as seen through the eyes of the young protagonists in Italian films from 1945 to 1993. In their phase of preliminary research, they watched over two hundred films, fifty of which have been used in their final cut. This video essay uses subtitles rather than a narrator. The music on the sound track was chosen to emphasize both historically meaningful and particularly critical moments.
