The protagonist of the work is the lyric ego of the director himself. This follows the principles of presentday filmic lyricism. This man's vision of the world is reflected in the spectacle of creation and in the resulting ordering that are translated in the director's own stream of consciousness. The basic ideas are time, evolution, and the progress of civilization. There is also the conflict between the dynamic nature of appearances and the unchanging, timeless character, the stubborn continuity of the spectacle of the arena, which provokes the hysterical reaction of the crowd.
