t is a fictiondocumentary about Arthur Dauphin, a forgotten contemporary of Méliès and the Lumière brothers. Two French filmhistorians discovered old films by his hand and investigate the development in his work. In 1896 Dauphin was the first man to wave at the camera.

Dick Tuinder
Dick Tuinder (1963) graduated in 1993 from the Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam. Since 1992, he has worked as director and scriptwriter. His film Goud won the Grolsch Prize in 1993. September 1995, his dancefilm Downstairs was nominated for the Golden Calf Best Short Film.
