In a condominium building home to imaginary hostile co-tenants and careless dolls of the neighbors' children, Mr. K is forced to watch a Kafkaesque nightmare with open eyes. He sees himself on the television walking up three flights of stairs forever, entering the house, and finding himself on the ground floor, and starting again to walk up. K is going back home, but he does not make it. His sense of guilt is too strong.
