Mehrollah is a fourteen yearold boy whose father has died. He finds himself forced to take care of his family. He goes on a trip to the south of Iran in order to find work. When he returns to his home town, he finds out that his mother has remarried. The confrontation between stepson and stepfather creates a series of tense situations and leads to a dangerous adventure.

Majid Majidi

Majld Majidi (Teheran, 1959) studied acting at the Teheran Academy of Dramatic Arts. He gave up his studies in 1979 to embark upon a fortunate acting career, especially under the direction of Mohsen Makhmalbaf, who helped him start off as a director. He made several short films and presented his first feature film, Baduk, at Cannes in 1992.
