Arnaldo Pomodoro, one of this century's greatest sculptors, tells the story of his artistic and personal life. The film shows images of the sculptor living through his experiences, as he tries to melt small works in his famous sepia bones or as he strikes an enormous basrelief with his force. The video moves inside and outside Pomodoro's story as he and others tell it. It documents the parties at his studio during the 1970's and gathers up the testimonials of his many friends, such as Gregory Corso and Lucio Fontana. The story runs through his childhood in Montefeltro, his entry into the art world, his school, and his students at Tam in Pietrarubbia. The narration is further enriched by the images of his works, which can be found all over the world from Copenhagen to San Paolo, from Vatican City to Tokyo, and from Brisbane to the Un garden in New York, site of Pomodoro's sphere since December, 1996.

Marina Spada
Marina Spada (Milan, 1957) received a degree from the School of the Little Theater of Milan and a university degree in Music History. She teaches Film Management at School of Cinema in Milan. She shoots high-definition documentaries for NHK, the Japanese State television network, and new reports for RAI. Her short, L'astice, won second prize in the Italy Space competition of the Turin Film Festival (1996) as well as other important national and international citations.
