What if books were considered a drug? What kind of world would we live in? Would it be so different from our own? This is the life of Massimo Penna, a young man who is a "book addict", beginning with his first joking teenage readings to his tragic death due to an overdose of books.

Pietro Reggiani
Pietro Reggiani (Verona, 1966) spent his early childhood in Turin, where his father worked as a journalist and then moved to Verona with his mother in 1978 when his father was transferred to Rome. He graduated in Law from the University of Bologna. He worked as copywriter and as comic-book artist. He presently works with Stream. He has lived in Rome since 1994. Donkey That Reads is his debut as a film director.
