Samir is a young man who has immigrated to Italy looking for a better life. Maria is a young woman hard pressed by a life that is not easy. The two meet and, almost by chance, begin a trip south. Samir falls in love with Maria and takes her with him to Morocco. However, their happiness is shattered when faced with a secret that is too weighty.

Rachid Benhadj
Rachid Mohamed Benhadj was born in Algiers but has been working in Rome for several years. He received a degree in directing from the Paris Film School in 1975. He worked for a long period for Algerian television in France, where he made numerous feature films, both fiction and documentary, that have received awards at major international festivals.
