This film attempts to be an excursus into the relationship of Padua with its cinema, with the protagonists of its films and with its movie theaters. It uses stock footage, interviews and feature films. The first part gives an indepth historical and critical view, with contributions from figures such as Giorgio Tinazzi, Piero Tortolina, Giuliana Muscio and Riccardo Redi. In the second part, directors such as Carlo Mazzacurati, Roberto Citran, Salvatore Samperi, Sandro Parenzo and Enzo Monteleone help us understand how the real conditions of the city can become cinema.

Massimo Savio (Campobasso, Padua; 1973) has studied Film History and Criticism with Professor Brunetta.

Marco Segato

Marco Segato (Padua, 1973) is a liberal arts student at the University of Padua. He contributes to the periodical, La Piazza and works with the University Film Center (CUC) and Cinema Uno.
