Country: Italy
Year: 1997
Duration: 35'40''

At the end of the Second World War the citizens of Cavriago, a town in the region of Reggio Emilia, decided to construct a movie theater Paréven furmíghi retells this little story which bears witness to a collective effort in tones that are sometimes epic and legendary. The protagonists of the old story now put themselves on the stage with enthusiasm in order to talk about that extraordinary experience that gave life one brick at a time to the Cinema Teatro Nuovo (today completely renovated and called Multisala Novecento). The memories of the movie theater interweave with reallife stories. Not only the words, but also the songs, the types of music and the dances of those "actors" in that movie theater that was desired so much recreate the power of that unique season and choral emotion. Not only that, they offer us a touching and lively perspective on the history of Italy in those years.
