An account that skirts fiction and reality of the attempt to convince Robert De Niro to play a role in the short film Ed è subito sera, a remake of a scene from Federico Fellini's acclaimed Amarcord. Once she has gotten to New York, the director manages to enter the lobby of the building where the American actor lives and to look at his mail, but there is no trace of the star. After she at least finds out Robert De Niro's address, she writes him repeatedly, inviting him to play the role that Ciccio Ingrassia played in the scene of the tree. After the director spends a few months working on the set of an AfroAmerican film as a sound assistant, she discovers that her letters had never gotten through because she had written down the wrong zip code. The director returns to Italy with six rolls of Super8 film used for the short film Superzero.
