Thirtyfive years after the integration within the Indian Union, and the liberation from Portuguese colonial rule, Goa still displays a remarkable co-existence of various cultures and religions in a society which, despite its recent decolonization, has remained inexplicably suspended in time. Aida, the Lady of Chandor, lives alone in a far off palace. This documentary tells her story, testifying to this woman's daily struggle to preserve,at all costs, the house where she lives: a living and tangible symbol of her almost lost identity. Time,in this house seems to pass by in an almost magical fashion.
