"A film about the city of Évora which, symptomatically, overcomes its architectonic side to suggest the irruption of a city in the social and human space of the Alentejo plain. This is the essay in "cinematographic language", realized by Fernando Lopes, with experimentations in camera and editing (and in the image/sound relationship as well) which, evidently, can't help but evoke, in hindsight, the stylistic code of the author of Uma Abelha na Chuva" (J. M. Costa).
