These two filmed lessons about Fascist newsreels that include several German newsreels and the entire sequence of Mussolini's body filmed in Piazzale Loreto were prepared by the Film Archive of the Resistance for schools and cultural groups.

"All the documents are presented in their original versions without cuts or manipulation of any kind. This was done because, on the one hand, each newsreel is to be «treated» and assumed as a primary tool for historical investigation (and hence cannot be subjected to any kind of change). On the other hand, any type of 'intervention' would spoil the chances of analyzing the 'subjectivity' of the films and of anything else that could be said about what was happening 'behind' the cameras… From The March on Rome to Piazzale Loreto does not aim to be a historical manual on Fascism but rather an attempt to provide a historical grounding in film for the representation that Fascism intended to give itself when it used the most evocative and popular means of information of the time" (Paolo Gobetti).
