The formation of the first partisan groups is retold through the most important witnesses of this investigation - Nardo Dunchi, Guido Quazza and Nuto Revelli. A whole series of figures from various social classes gravitate around them. It is their testimony that enriches the panorama of events that were taking place between September 8, 1943, and March 1944. Authentic film documents from the period shot by don Pollarolo, Claudio Borello and Michele Rosboch with the portable cameras of that time serve as counterpoint to the present-day retelling of the memories of that time.
