Country: Portugal
Year: 1976
Duration: 80'

This film was supposed to be almost an archival work, starting with the drawings of Arpad Szenes dedicated to Vieira da Silva. But it ended up documenting the relationship between the two artists, one Hungarian, the other Portuguese. The two help each other out, even though each continues to live in his own world, both artistically and geographically. The film begins with images of Paris which alternate with clips filmed in Lisbon, fragments which become increasingly brief, until they disappear altogether. This is the universe in constant mutation of Arpad Szenes and Vieira da Silva. From Paris, his new adopted homeland, Szenes remembers Hungary's open spaces, a constant presence on his canvasses. Vieira da Silva, on the other hand, talks about the river Tejo and its light, which has always played an important role in his works.
