O BOBO

Rita Portugal and Francisco Bernardes await the end of the day in a fishermen's tavern. That morning, João was assassinated. He was attacked in the studio, during rehearsals of O Bobo. Francisco had wanted to put Herculano's novel on stage for ages. Only João had encouraged him, recommending that he produce the show in the old movie studios of Lisboa Filmes. It had been hard, the personnel scarce and poorly paid. There was only one week left until the debut. Then, if João had been able to sell the weapons and Rita had accepted to accompany him, Francisco would have gone to live in New York…
