Two children begin to talk on the telephone to each other by chance. They will be looking for each other for all their lives.
"Closer is our first celluloid work. Romagnoli's story is so beautiful that it was worth an effort that even cost some money. The work on the screenplay was the hardest. It involved giving a face and some words to characters that were hardly sketched out. Even though we violated the end of the story, we hope that we have been faithful to the spirit of the author" (Beppe Anderi, Gigi Piana).

Beppe Anderi
Beppe Anderi (Biella, 1963) is the author of texts on film history. He manages VideoAstolfo-SullaLuna. In 1996 he won the first prize in the Turin Space Competition with his Liberi e belli, ovvero il fardello del cappello. His Prima di Berlusconi was presented as a film in the Proposals section at the 15th Torino Torino Film Festival.

Gigi Piana
Gigi Piana (Biella, 1967) is a visual artist, specializing in video performances and installations. He has exposed his works at the Big Torino 2000 and at Malta. He works with theatrical group Stalker, and teaches at the Unversità Popolare of Biella. His short films, including Più vicino, have participated at the Torino Film Festival, and at the festival of Bellaria.
