Country: Bosnia and Herzegovina
Year: 1981
Duration: 18'

The lack of medical facilities in a village makes it hard for a woman to give birth to a baby. She is forced to go on a desperate journey on a cart in order to get to a hospital. This is the first film of Idrissa Ouédraogo and an ideal foretaste of Samba Traoré, where we find a similar situation inserted in a more elaborate narrative, however.
Poko won the prize as the bast short film at the seventh FESPACO, the Pan-African Film Festival held every two years in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso.
