After being separated for fifteen years, three sisters and a brother reunite in their family home to take care of Patsy, their sick mother. The son, Bo, is out on probation; the three sisters are discussing which of the three is best suited to take care of their mother. But Patsy has no intention of letting her life be organized by others and Vic, her husband, would like to take care of his wife alone. Vic can't stand Bo, while the three sisters can't live with each other and yet they can't live without each other, either. Patsy's greatest wish is to have some peace and quiet, something impossible considering the family she has.
