A woman gets a threatening phone call. Her husband has been kidnapped and she has to bring ten million to a garbage dump within an hour. She gets extremely upset. She has a series of strange encounters and then reaches the place for the rendez-vous. but she discovers that the man she is trying to save is not her husband. She returns home. She does not find her husband but a message on the answering machine - "I am leaving you for someone else". She pretends she is keeping calm and thinks of how she can compensate for the larger loss.

Nicola Barnaba
Nicola Barnaba (Bari, 1964) has worked as editor for various feature films, including Giulio Base's Lovest and La bomba. He is a screenwriter and director of various short films. His La nonna (1995) won a special mention from the Saint Vincent Live Cinema Festival and the award for best direction at the Spoleto Nickelodeon Festival. Cento anni (1996) earned him the best director award at the Live Cinema Festival given by the monthly film journal "Duel". Lo straniero (1996) won prizes as best short film at Videomania, Milan, and as best direction at the Spoleto Nickelodeon Festival. The Building (1999) won the REC Award for best direction at the festival La cittadella del corto in Trevignano Romano. He also directed La carta d'identità, which won the audience award as the 1999 Vastocinemavasto Festival, 1999. Donatella Cinà was given the award for best actress for her work in Zero plus… zero minus at the 1999 Live Cinema Festival.
