One day Juli goes on a bicycle ride, forgetting her compass at home. She wants to head north, through the mountains. When evening falls, she realizes she is lost. The young woman's father asks Misi, "the motorist" to finds her. The two differents paths followed by Juli and Misi draw the map of a strange country, where travellers and inhabitants also seem foreign.

Csaba Bollók

Csaba Bollók, born in Eger (Hungary) in 1962, has a degree in English literature and Hungarian literature from the Lajos Kossuth University in Debrecen. His graduating films at the end of his courses in cinematographic and television directing, made in collaboration with the Béla Balázs Studio, have won numerous international prizes. Észak, Észak is his first full-length movie.
