Ciro lives in Naples, he is young and since he works as an unloader at the fish market he has to get up at four every morning. Since he has trouble maintaining this rhythm, he decides to live by night and rest by day. Ciro is a good vampire who roams the city and meets other vampires, those who have to work and those who don't sleep because of restlessness, neither bandits nor thieves.

"This film was shot with a small crew, no leading characters, few days of shooting, I consider this my first work" (Wilma Labate).

Wilma Labate

Wilma Labate was born in Rome. After gaining experience in the field of documentaries and after working as director's assistant for numerous Italian directors, in 1990 she made Ciro il piccolo, as a part of the project entitled "Notti d'Europa" on RaiSat, which was composed of thirteen episodes dedicated to thirteen European cities. Her second full-length film, La mia generazione, received numerous national and international prizes and recognitions, including two Grolle d'Oro and an Oscar nomination for best foreign film.
