Gladiators is the story of hard-core movie actors, an effort to understand the complexity of this world, being with them during a show or on the sets of Budapest, capturing what it means to them to be an actor or director, confronting themselves with production and the market, "making cinema".

"Being a hard-core movie director or actor means being constantly on the borderline between work and personal involvement. In the constant search for new ethics, for a different moral standard that can explain the reasons behind such a complex choice and extreme job, the questions end up shattering, leaving us in this delicate balance, lost and suspended between two worlds" (Maria Martinelli).
