This is a documentary on marijuana, the Twentieth Century's most controversial drug. Smoked with pleasure by generations of musicians, students, and workers, marijuana has been fought by governments the world over. Using stock footage and newly created psychedelic animation by the underground comic-book artist, Paul Mavrides, Mann shows how American political authorities have used this light drug as an excuse for harassing "non-aligned" youths and artists who had only wanted to smoke a "joint" to relax.
