HARD LIVING KIDS - TOMORROW'S HEROES
by John W. Fredericks, Davide Tosco
Richie Gee and Schoolboy are two South African township youths who have chosen to become gang members out of their desire for adventure as well as their need for protection. Like many youths of their age before them, they are sucked into a dangerous circle of crime and violence that leads them up to a very real crisis point in their as-yet short but intense existences.
"This is a journey made to discover the causes that push a boy to join a youth gang through the story of ten such boys who are active in various South African townships. There is the personal road that the two protagonists must go down in order to leave a past of degradation and poverty behind them" (John W. Fredericks, Davide Tosco).
