Clélia, a young and successful photographer, is hired by Lucien Macroi, the owner of a scandal newspaper, to renew the image of his editorial empire. Clève, a 35-year-old editor who is honest and cultured, immediately falls in love with the photographer, who accepts his proposal of marriage. Clélia meets up again with Nemo, an old friend, a specialist in shocking news reports. The two end up overwhelmed by sensual passion.

Andrzej Zulawski
Andrzej Zulawski was born in the Ukraine in 1940. The son of a well-known author, he was assistant to Andrzej Wajda during the 1960's. He has also worked as a movie critic and has written three novels. His first film was Trzecia czesc nocy (1970). He moved to France in the mid-1970's, and filmed L'importante c'est d'aimer ( 1974) with Romy Schneider. Amongst his most recent films, all of which are characterized by strong erotic tension, are La Femme publique (1984), Mes nuits sont plus belles que vos jours (1988) and La Note bleue (1990).
