In a not so far-away future, Fry, a spaceship pilot, makes an emergency landing on a planet very far away from the earth. The violent landing takes victims among the crew and passengers. Among the survivors there is a bounty hunter, Johns, who has just captured a dangerous killer, Riddick. The temperature of the plant is torrid and the group of survivors has to remain united. Apparently there are not any forms of life on the planet. However, when the climate becomes more bearable after the sunset and there is total darkness, the inhabitants emerge from the underground.
