Francesco Tiano, the "feminine guy" of Pagani (Salerno), is a singer and actor who talks about his life while he prepares for the feast of Our Lady of the Hens. He has to put up a tosello, a kind of temporary chapel in honor of the Virgin. When the procession passes the tosello, it is opened and becomes a a sacred place for several days for all the townspeople.

"What I want to get across in this documentary is the chiaroscuro that forms Francesco's history and character, his ability to be an integral part of a situation still full of archaic elements (even if they are being transformed) as well as his wish to distance himself from it in order to talk about it" (Laura Mandolesi Ferrini).
