STORY TELLING
by Guillaume Malandrin
Country: Belgium
Year: 2000
Duration: 18'

An old man from Namur, in Belgium, goes to a radio-show with his grand-son. Max Cottin, famous writer from the same city - promoting his latest book - is invited to narrate a story of his childhood. Between those two men will grow a silent fight between memories and mental-images, in which speech and pain will have to find their way and confront each other.

"My grandfather always used to tell me 'stop telling stories', with an expression on his face that was both severe and smiling. I love to tell stories. This film is the story of my grandparents" (Guillaume Malandrin).
