Year: 2000
Duration: 90'

Ali is a young Egyptian screenwriter who lives in London, where he had studied. He has little money, his visa is about to expire, and he has just been evicted by his landlord. He manages to find a place to stay with some friends: Mark, a photographer; Linda, a young, attractive model; and Miss Stevenson, who considers Ali the reincarnation of her long-dead Egyptian fiancee. Meanwhile, Ali is looking for a woman willing to marry him so that he can stay in England.

«When I moved to England eight years ago, I discovered that my preconceptions were all wrong. My voyage in discovery of England was like that of a lost child. I learned a lot when I rented different rooms in many different houses in London. When I mixed in with the English in their own environment and adapted to their lifestyles, I freed myself of all the stereotypes I had believed for many years» (Khaled El Hagar).
