If walks through the mountains were once accompanied by Alpine songs, today the walks are made to study the environment and accompanied by rock and roll. The film follows the path that the teachers and students trace out against the background of images and music as they analyze the eco-system of the "woods" and rediscover the ancient settling places of the shepherds.
