This is a journey from Piedmont to Guatemala made in order to restitch the threads of a life, the story of a "discomforting" priest. In the 1970s Don Piero Nota was the pastor in a parish in Mirafiori South, a working-class neighborhood in Turin where there was a struggle for places to live. Subsequently, the consistency of his character brought him among the shanties of Limon, an area on the outskirts of Guatemala City, where he has chosen to share with other poor people the tragedies and pains of an entire people.
"There are many ways to tell a story, above all one like this: the classical interview, the report, the traditional documentary, fiction, and docu-drama. As the occasion arose, I chose the narrative means that seemed to me to be the most apt for communicating the reality of things and the impact of the emotions" (Claudio Paletto).
