Contortions intends to dispel the easy clichés about youth unemployment. The film follows the life of Peter, who is young and unemployed, but who retains a certain sense of humor (albeit veined with cynicism) and a little hope for his future.

Mike Stubbs

Mike Stubbs, born in1958, studied at Cardiff College of Art and at the Royal College of Art. Between 1979 and1982 produced some experimental videos and was awarded the first prize for the international film at the International Video Festival in Londra in 1982. N. In 1984 organised  the "Video and Television Exhibition" in Cardiff. He directed Shot Face (1980) and Contortions (1983).
