The chronicle of a trip to San Francisco and to the University of California at Berkeley made by Sergio Citti and David Grieco, both of whom were friends and co-workers with Pier Paolo Pasolini. They were invited to California as eyewitnesses for an important retrospective dedicated the great Italian poet, writer, and director. Citti gives off his carefree feeling of being out of place. Beat generation poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti makes a sardonic appearance. The students exhibit their feverish curiosity for Pasolini. All of this makes Citti and Grieco's stay in California into a cavalcade full of surprises. It is a journey that demonstrates that it is easier to rediscover the memory of Pasolini in America than in Italy.

Luigi Gabbioneta
Luigi Gabbioneta (Milan, 1965) is a self-taught director. Since 1990 he has made and produced music videos and documentaries.
Luca Brovelli
Luca Brovelli (Milan, 1971) has worked for Telepiù since 1990 as cameraperson active in a range of genres from cinema to sports.
David Grieco
David Grieco (Rome, Italy, 1951), at a young age, performed in Romeo and Juliet (1968) by Franco Zeffirelli; Teorema (Theorem, 1968) by Pier Paolo Pasolini, who became his friend; and Partner (1968) by Bernardo Bertolucci. A foreign correspondent, and film and music critic for “L’Unità,” he is also a screenwriter, writing scripts for movies such as Caruso Paskoski di padre polacco (1988) by Francesco Nuti, and Mortacci (1989) and I magi randagi (1996) by Sergio Citti. In 2004, he debuted in feature films with Evilenko (based on his own novel, Il comunista che mangiava i bambini), which was followed in 2016 by La macchinazione. He has also written and hosted topical programs about film (“Hollywood Party,” “Radio City Café,” “Il giornale del cinema”) and written documentaries about filmmakers such as Clint Eastwood, John Woo and Mario Monicelli.
