This is the story of forty years of the cabarets in Milan. There are its movers and its protagonists. We begin at the dawn of the Derby, the mythical club founded in 1962, which became a real school that trained many artists. We end with the latest moves at its recognized heir, the Zelig, at present the throbbing center of Italian comedy, which also includes its television variant.
"We have chosen to tell the story of the Milanese cabarets through the voices and faces of their protagonists themselves. We felt free to go through their memories, anecdotes and observations. We supported these with images from stock film footage of those days ñ films that have often been never seen before or merely forgotten. Tonino Curagi
Tonino Curagi (Rome) grew up from his early childhood in Milan, where he received his secondary school degree from the Civic Film School in 1981. He then began to work as a director for commercials and documentaries.
Anna Gorio
Anna Gorio (Soncino, Cremona) graduated in 1981 from the Civic Film School in 1981. Since 1983 she has been working as editor for commercials, documentaries, and short films.
