This video was shot in the rural village of Adior in the Bahr El Ghazal region of southern Sudan. It is the diary of the paths that a surgeon went down during his voluntary mission in a poor country that is torn with warfare.

Dario Andreone
Dario Andreone (Turin, 1956) is a physician specializing in general surgery and oncology. Since 1966 he has worked as a volunteer surgeon for the Medical Collaboration Committee at hospitals in Kenya, Sudan, and Burundi. During these missions he made short documentary films related to his professional work there as well as to the folk ways of the tribal populations there.
