Shinsuke Sato
Sato Shinsuke (1970) studied at Musashino University of the Arts and in 1993 directed a 16 mm medium-length film entitled No Misbehavior in the Dorm, which won first prize at the Pia Film Festival the following year. He later made Tsukishima Kyoso (1994) and Bound for the Front Gate (1996), which received excellent critiques. With the director Ichikawa Jun, he wrote the screenplays for three films: Tokyo Yakyoku (Tokyo Lullaby, 1997), Tadon to Chikuwa (1998) and Zawazawa Shimo-Kitazawa (2000). Besides writing for the director Yukisada Isao, Sato Shinsuke works frequently for television and in 2001 directed his first movie, Love Song.
