Darkness, a trapeze. Two lovers are swinging back and forth. They leap in the dark to meet one another. The stars draw the pattern of the acrobatics. The images mingle with the voices. Bodies and eyes talk without making a sound, the fear of letting themselves go, and the desire to come together: are the two really there, or are they only dreaming?

"This experiment aims at confusing the world of reality and the world without gravity, which belongs to animation and painting. It was entirely made with single shots, using the same canvas as a background, and moving the oil colors a little at a time. Other parts were made by elaborating sequences of photographs or drawings on paper" (C.D. Seresini).
