Tales from A Hard City

In this case, the «hard city» is modern day Sheffield - a city of dreamers and showbiz types. Glen is a car thief who has a passion for marijuana and likes to sing. Every Thursday he enters the karaoke competition in the city centre. Sarah spent time in prison for provocative dancing. She is spotted by Wayne, who fancies himself as a showbiz promoter. Paul is an ex-boxer who is trying to make it as an actor and finds himself surviving a sponsorship battle. With these four players the course of a deindustrialised city is charted in an often humorous and always provocative manner.
