Un'ora sola ti vorrei

For just one Hour

Country: Italy
Year: 2002
Duration: 55'

This film is the reconstruction of the director's journey as she edits old home movies in search of the face of her mother, Liseli. It is an attempt to bring her back to life, albeit only on the screen, a way of celebrating her memory. Nostalgia pervades the story because it is what makes it possible to overcome a loss, it is the essential condition needed to live.

"My mother was born in 1938 and died in 1972, when I was seven years old. Retelling her story through these old films of my grandfather's was a way for me to give dignity to the memory of the person who gave birth to me. It is a present I make to myself, to her, to all children and to all parents" (A. Marazzi).
