Megan, who is ten years old, is wandering through a forest when she meets Penina. They are both shy and have a hard time making friends. All of a sudden Penina's older brother, Gordon, arrives and chases Megan away. The little girl finds herself alone and decides to fish in the canal with a spear she made but, by mistake, she spears her own foot and is imprisoned in the mud. The water begins to rise and Megan, who can't move, risks drowning. When all seems lost, Gordon and Penina arrive. Megan is still offended with Gordon and decides not to ask for help. But Penina has understood that something's wrong...

"A young girl discovers that sometimes what you are looking for is different to what you find" (D. Fepulea'i).
