Two lovers meet in the same dream in order to accept the death of
their relationship. During the same night a girl gets killed. Everyone
ends up submerged in a natural-surreal space where a boy and a girl
move, taking care and leading the place.
"At the End of the Garden There Are Two Children is part of a
trilogy started with Through the Looking Glass and dedicated to
waiting rooms, interior places where characters close themselves up
after having has a strong trauma, physical or psychological. Like in my
other works, also this video brings on my personal research on the
relationship between image and sound, used as instruments to express
sensations. It has a structure where different levels of narration allow
the viewer to use real emotional elements to rebuild his own interior
editing" (D. Pepe).

Davide Pepe
Davide Pepe (Ceglie Messapica, Brindisi, 1970). After graduating in Communication Sciences at Bologna University, where he lives since 1990, he worked as director and editor for various TV commercials, music clips and short films, like Latent spirits (2002), Che vita! (2002), Sognando sognando (2003), Giulia (2003), and trailers for Marathon by Amir Naderi, Kukushka by Alexander Rogozhin and A Snake of June by Shinya Tsukamoto.
