A man goes to a country fair in Thessaly to buy a
horse. That night, as he stares into the horse's eyes, he is hypnotized
and, dreamlike, starts to travel through the various regions of ancient
myths. First he goes east to a group of slaves in rebellion, then he
goes to Mount Olympus where he meets an old prophet who says he has met
Jesus Christ. Along the river Pinios he comes upon a witch who was
buried and who tells him that freedom resides inside each one of
us.
