An old man is taking a ride in a taxi that is driven
by a young man. There is a coffin in the trunk. As night falls, the taxi
comes to a quarry. The old man takes the young taxi driver into a hut
and introduces him to Karkaloù, a woman who has certainly known better
days. They start dancing to a song by Louis Armstrong, then they get
into a small boat and take a trip into the world of their memories.
Their destination is, once again, the quarry. Here, large men are
breaking stones, various revolutionaries are conspiring to revolt and
the young taxi driver, the old man's alter ego, becomes intimate with
the woman. At first they fight, but they soon begin to embrace, slowly,
sensually.
